Campari Citrus: Vitamin C + (sun, fun, friends...)

Summertime boozing gets a healthier boost with added vitamin C rich fresh grapefruit and oranges. If I'm going to have a cocktail during the summer, it's usually this 'Campari Citrus.' Like a whole foods version of the standard Campari Orange, it'smostly made with grapefruit juice, which has less sugar than oranges (natural though that may be), and is actually less a cocktail than a spiked citrus juice. It is SO refreshing though and hits the spot when I want something a bit more festive than water! And, no bartender needed!

Simple How To:

  • in a glass, squeeze the juice of 1 whole red or pink grapefruit and 1/2 a medium orange (I like the pulp, but feel free to strain; and keep in mind that only fresh fruit juice, not pasteurized and/or processed juice in a carton is the 'Healthibella' way)
  • add about 50 - 75ml of Campari (adjust to your desire)
  • add ice and top off with a little sparkling water and garnish with fresh fruit slices or a twist
