The Golden Hour: Fresh Turmeric Latte
This turmeric latte is so soothing you'd never know it's filled to the brim with potent anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties that help keep our insides healthy and our exterior glowing! So simple to make, it's just another great way (apart from all those delicious curries you cook!) to get a great dose of powerhouse curcumin—turmeric's deep saffron colored star ingredient.
Tip 1: it's worth going out of your way to buy fresh turmeric and ginger, not just for their deeper flavour, but for the intensity of their polyphenol compounds.
Tip 2: 1/2 tsp vanilla extract can help soften the taste of the turmeric, for newbies.

1 tsp turmeric root, peeled and roughly chopped
1 tsp ginger root, peeled and roughly chopped
1 cup plant milk (I love it with a blend of almond and coconut milk)
1 - 3 tsp of coconut syrup, coconut sugar, maple syrup, or raw honey (adjust to taste and slowly reduce)
2 tsp extra virgin coconut butter
dash of cinnamon (optional)
Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender.
Transfer to a saucepan over low heat and simmer until it's warm. (Do not boil.)
